# Recruiting heroes

> How the Hall of Heroes refreshes candidates, what recruiting costs, when the Call is worth it, the daily limit, the hero cap and the titles.

Your hero marches with your army and weighs on the outcome of every battle. Every hero is born in the **Hall of Heroes** of your main village. In your other villages the Hall doesn't recruit: it becomes an altar that boosts resource production.

You'll find the Hall under **Army → Recruit**.

# The Hall's candidates

The Hall shows a group of candidates that refreshes on its own **at the top of every hour** (1:00 PM, 2:00 PM…), in real time. The server speed doesn't make it refresh faster. Anyone you recruit leaves the group until the next refresh.

The Hall's level decides two things, and both are on the [Hall of Heroes](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/construcoes/salao-herois?lang=en) page:

- **How many heroes** show up per refresh.
- **The highest title** that can show up. A higher Hall also tilts the odds toward the top titles.

# The Call

The **Call** costs **200 cash** and rerolls the whole group on the spot, heavily tilted toward higher titles. The candidates who were in the Hall are gone. The Hall's title limit and the season's limit still apply, and Duke, King and God stay rare even with the Call.

Three things to keep in mind before using it:

- The Call's group is also replaced at the top of the next hour. Recruit before it turns.
- When you're at the hero cap, the Call is blocked. Free up a slot first.
- When you've used up today's recruitments, the Call is blocked too (nothing is charged), because the group would turn over before you could recruit from it.

# Cost and limits

- **Cost:** bronze and silver. The price depends on the title and on how strong that candidate rolled within it. It shows on the candidate's card, and each title's range is on its page, like the [Baron](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/barao?lang=en).
- **Daily limit:** 3 recruits every 24 hours. The count starts at your first recruit, not at midnight. The Hall shows how many you have left and when they reset.
- **Hero cap:** 5 per account, across all your villages. Selling a hero frees the slot (see [Hero progression](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/guia/evolucao-do-heroi?lang=en)).

# Titles and subtitles

There are nine titles, from the most common to the most legendary: [Soldier](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/soldado?lang=en), [Knight](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/cavaleiro?lang=en), [Baron](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/barao?lang=en), [Viscount](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/visconde?lang=en), [Count](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/conde?lang=en), [Marquis](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/marques?lang=en), [Duke](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/duque?lang=en), [King](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/rei?lang=en) and [God](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/herois/deus?lang=en). Each page shows the base stats, the cost and the odds in the Hall.

Within a title, the hero also rolls a **subtitle** (**Lesser**, **Common** or **Greater**) that shifts every stat, and each stat has a small luck variation on top. The God has no subtitle.

Titles don't overlap: at the same level, the worst hero of a title still beats the best one of the title below. Level and equipment still matter a lot, so a well-raised hero of a lower title can be worth more than a fresh recruit of a higher one.

# The season ceiling

A season can unlock titles gradually as the days go by. Until a title opens, it won't appear in the Hall or in the Call, whatever your Hall level. The Hall itself tells you the current ceiling, and the [Hall of Heroes](https://jds-game.com.br/portal/wiki/construcoes/salao-herois?lang=en) page already shows each level's highest title with that ceiling applied.

Before spending cash on the Call, check whether your Hall already reaches the title you want. If it doesn't, upgrading the Hall usually pays off more than repeating the Call.
